We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Mainframe Ops/App Support to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support controlling, diagnosing, and resolving problems that arise during daily batch processing.
  • Provide IBM and Unisys Mainframe Operations/Application support.
  • Provide generalized automated scheduling support for OS2200 and IBM z/OS environments.
  • Utilize a Windows-based personal computer workstation and the MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word), Internet browsers, Mainframe Terminal Emulation Software, and ITSM ticketing software.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of mainframe application issues. This is generally accomplished through collaboration with technical support personnel..
  • Learn the methods utilized by the experts and develop technical expertise over time.
  • Provide status and activity reports on items of team activities. Attend and participate in meetings.
  • Some shift work may be required.

Requirements

Education Certification / Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math and two years' experience with an IT Service Desk/Service Operations experience.
    OR
    Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math and one year experience with an IT Service Desk/Service Operations experience.
    OR
    High School diploma/GED and three years' experience with an IT Service Desk/Service Operations experience with one year focused on IT customer support.
  • Must have one of the following Certifications: A+CE, CCNA-Security, Network+ CE or SSCP
  • Active DoD Secret IT1 Security Clearance or Higher
