We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager/Quality Assurance Analyst to begin an exciting anf challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. 


The ideal candidate, in additional to having experience in Quality and Risk Management, has a solid background in fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures related to technical assignments related to designing, deploying and supporting AWS Cloud based Solutions, and will hold an AWS Cloud practitioner, Administrator or a Developer certification. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. You will work under supervision of a Project Manager, Cloud Architect and other Cloud Software Engineers and also work very closely with client personnel.


Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
In this role you will support the Quality Assurance and Quality Management aspects of client Cloud based infrastructure on public cloud and government cloud related to the needs of lines of business of a Civilian Federal Agency. You will support large, medium or small projects, and with experience, will lead Quality Management for small projects autonomously, and be responsible for the ongoing support and dealing with stakeholders, CSPs (Cloud Solution Providers) once the system is in production. Collaborates with teams to develop, maintain and support technical and specialized Quality Management and Risk Management Plans, documents and results for the Cloud based infrastructure deployed on the AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platforms.

In this role you will be responsible for implementing and leading quality and risk management programs in support of Cloud Infrastructure and Solutions related Task Orders for a Civilian Federal Government Agency.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance / Analyst Functions
• Work with Cloud Solution Architect, Developer and Junior Developers to comprehensively test the AWS (or Azure or Google) public cloud or government cloud Infrastructures prior to deployment
 o Test Cases, Scenarios, Execution, Results – Support in developing, executing and documenting the results.
 o Root Cause Analysis support for ongoing support and Maintenance

• Quality Management
 o Developing and maintaining a Quality Management Plan (QMP)
 o Developing quality processes and procedures
 o Monitor and track program quality controls and program deliverable
 o Prepare reports and assessments
 o Develop and track remediation solutions

• Risk Management
 o Developing and maintaining Risk Management Plan (RMP)
 o Developing risk processes and procedures
 o Monitoring and tracking risks

Requirements

Full time position, some travel required, preferably located in the Washington DC area to serve the NOAA Cloud program. May be required to assist with other proposals and delivery efforts for other customers. Experience with Morpheus Cloud Management Platform will be a plus.

Will require certification in AWS (either as practitioner, administrator or developer associate) along with at least two years in developing, deploying and supporting AWS Infrastructure for Cloud solutions. Equivalent experience such as Internships or education related will be taken into account.

Position Requirements:
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
The Quality/Risk Manager shall possess, at a minimum, the following:

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience
• At least 4 or 5 years of QC experience conducting QC activities
• Experience managing a risk program
• Experience monitoring complex projects covering all phases of the SDLC lifecycle
• Experience conducting QC activities, primarily ensuring that information systems products and services meet quality standards and end-user requirements
• Establishes and collects data for metrics reporting, and analyzes results of activities for potentially adverse trends.
• Experience organizing and maintaining QC and risk documentation (e.g., documenting all problems and mitigation strategies and reporting problem resolution progress to management).
• Ability to track and report on all quality and risks and lead mitigations.
• Ability to effectively lead lessons learned for each task of the contract and offer thought leadership and best practice recommendations.
• Proficient professional verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred skills and expertise: 
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, ideally working on projects with both worker (internal) and public (external) users is desirable. Scrum Master Certification a plus.
• AWS certification (Foundational – Practitioner, Associates – Developer or SysOps Administrator)
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
