The Infrastructure Initiatives Project Manager will provide support to the customer and project team, understand the technical requirements of the projects. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable being in a friendly,  Customer Service Centric, collaborative project team culture.  This position reports directly to the Infrastructure Initiatives Lead SME

Candidates must also have an DoD issued and Active TOP Secret Clearance that can be verified in JPAS.


Position Overview:

  • Plan, Manage task scope,  coordinate resources and activities of the project aka Initiatives.

  • Fit comfortably with a friendly,  Customer Server Centric culture project team

Specific Duties:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the stakeholders.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical staff, vendors/partners, client teams, and others to ensure the operational success of projects (Initiatives).
  • Establish and maintain relationships and communication strategy with customer, and engineers that provide support related to the success of the Initiative's requirments.
  • Manage project success by removing roadblocks, managing interdependencies, leveraging organizational resources and communicating progress and issues to the customer.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed and integrated project schedule and track progress for all tasks; Identify and utilize appropriate tools to track meeting minutes, project/task status; Ensure project and tasks are delivered on-time, & within scope.
  • Identify, document, and define requirements for all tasks; Work with the customer to prioritize tasks; Incorporate prioritized tasks into the overall schedule.
  • Establish and facilitate scheduled meetings with the customer and team to address project status, task planning, identify issues/risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide oversight for the Initiatives Artifacts; Review and validate documentation prior to Transitions into the O&M infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Must have 5 to 10 years of experience in a project management role at a government agency; organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of the Infrastructure Initiative (Project).
  • Broad knowledge and experience in project management: Initiate projects, Create project plans, Identify and allocate resources, Manage schedules/time, Manage risk, , Prioritize tasks, Report on project status.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to Initiate and drive projects to completion.
  • Influence team members and customers toward common goals.
  • Build trust and relationships between diverse stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple tasks in parallel.
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Project Schedule
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Education / Certification / Security Clearance Requirements

  • BS in IT related field and 10 years of experience or equivalent.
  • MI/PMP is desired but not required.
  • Agile certification is desire but is not required.
  • ITIL (v3 or v4)  certification is desire but is not required.
  • Must have active DoD isued Interim Top Secret Clearance.
