Job Description

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented AWS Architecture/ Configuration Architect interested in joining our team in Reston, VA and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Duties:

Responsible for the design, creation, configuration and delivery of cloud infrastructure environments using best practices. The function of the role will include all technological aspects associated with cloud computing technology stack including: - architecture, security, design, planning, management, maintenance and support. The scope of the role includes the extensive knowledge of private, public, and hybrid cloud models. Responsible for the development, deployment and management of infrastructure as code and overall AWS architecture to support a large scale data transformation project.

Requirements

BA or BS plus 6 years of experience Experience developing infrastructure as code using Cloudformation
Scripting experience with python or ruby
Experience building and managing gold AMIs on AWS
Must have understanding of Security (Security Group, NACL)
Should have understanding of Network & Switches, VPN, Direct Connect, Routing, Firewall
Experience in monitoring and setting up alerting for Cloud components
Experience with cloud services such as AWS -potential problems, and how to setup and manage a service in the cloud.
Understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, TLS, SSH, PKI and distributed networks).
Significant experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks. AWS Certified Solution Architect Preferred
