Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Cloud Application Migration Solutions Executive to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. This position will require travel to Tarrytown, NY on a weekly basis.

Job Responsibilities:

The role of a Cloud Application Migration Solution Executive includes:

  • Provides the Cloud Application Migration vision for Unisys Federal
  • Working with Unisys business development, program teams, capture and account teams to engage customers to best understand their cloud application migration needs and to present Unisys capabilities, offerings and solutions in a compelling manner, thereby shaping customer perspectives
  • Leads the establishment and sustainment of Unisys portfolio of capabilities, including marketing literature, proposal content, BoE/rate cards, proof points, reference architectures and proofs of concept/demoware
  • Leads a team to create and sustain Cloud Application Migration capability artifacts and demoware
  • Provide deep domain expertise regarding agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme, Test Driven Development), agile-at-scale (SAFe) methods, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, cloud application platforms and microservice architectures
  • Provides thought leadership regarding DevOps with a strong focus on the implications and maturation strategies to augment governmental application delivery, testing, deployment and operations processes to reduce time to deployment while improving application security and performance
  • Drive market demand for Cloud Application Migration solutions by providing concise messages tailored for UNISYS customers and their desired outcomes
  • Defines our go to market strategy for application portfolio assessments, the recommendation of treat pathways (6 ‘R’s), use of tools to accelerate migration of applications, data and infrastructure, verification of migrations and cut over (collectively considered as Cloud Application Migration) offerings
  • Collaborates closely with our corporate solutions organizations and alliance partners to incubate, design and deliver data management offerings
  • Activate, energize and engage a community of Cloud Application Migration engineers and practitioners to build a strong sense of community, to provide career mobility, achieve meaningful corporate reach back and to design training and certification pathways
  • Curates proof points and past performance qualifications for Unisys success stories for migration government applications and data
  • Identifies market trends in technology, methodologies and organizational designs for Cloud Application Migration
  • Sets UNISYS strategy for the federal Cloud Application Migration capability portfolio
  • Collaborates with Unisys Commercial Solutions organizations to prioritize corporate investments in Cloud Application Migration capabilities and solutions
  • Works with alliance partners to identify new potential offerings
  • Engages with program teams, Unisys Application/Data Management Service data practitioners and Unisys Business Units to incubate, build out and sustain Cloud Application Migration capabilities, offerings and solutions
  • Works with business units in tailoring capability strategies specific for them and work with appropriate government relations to shape agency procurement
  • Shape procurement by presentations to clients and through speaking engagements
  • Determines which alliances to pursue and events for UNISYS to participate
  • Actively works with partners to shape procurements and future technologies
  • Identifies market for the Cloud Application Migration portfolio along with industry
  • Identifies offerings to place on GWACs

A Cloud Application Migration Solution Executive is intimately familiar with market trends, helps to define new markets and ensures that UNISYS is in a position to be the best choice for meeting our customers’ Cloud Application Migration needs through collaboration with customers, partners, and internal stake holders to understand the requirements and connect them with UNISYS capabilities and offerings.

Requirements

 Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT implementation experience. and BS:
    • Has a successful track record in providing technical leadership in federal new business pursuits
    • In-depth understanding of application, cloud, middleware, data management and system architecture concepts; experience leading the design and integration of enterprise-level technical solutions.
    • Experience in capturing technical requirements and defining technical solutions in the form of conceptual, logical, and physical designs, including the ability to articulate those concepts verbally, graphically and in writing.
    • Ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired timeframe.
    • Experience developing cost models, technical delivery plans, technical solutions and basis of estimates (BOEs), including BOM development. Also develop concept of operations and discuss these models in Agile, federal SDLC or ITIL based terms.
    • Experience identifying potential design, performance, security, and support problems, including ability to identify technical risks/challenges and develop relevant mitigation strategies.
    • Extensive knowledge of the broad spectrum of technology areas, including technology trends, forthcoming industry standards, new products, and the latest solution development techniques; ability to leverage this knowledge to formulate technical solution strategy.
    • Ability to consistently apply architectural guidelines when creating new solution architectures.
    • Ability to develop integrated technology requirements project plan.
    • Ability to interface with team members at all levels, including business operations, finance, technology, and management.
    • Was primary author for a technical conference or White paper submission. (to be provided)

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong product management experience in setting strategy, creating required marketing artifacts, training artifacts
  • Experience in leading remote teams in building demonstrations and proofs of concept
  • Strong technical acumen and experience leading the development of complex solutions for migrations of portfolios of applications to cloud platforms, including portfolio assessments, establishment of treatment pathways (retire, replace, rehost, refactor), portfolio program management of migrating/refactoring/rehosting applications and dependencies, verification and validation and deployment .
  • Strong understanding of the use of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ‘Everything-as-code’ approaches, DevOps processes and tools, virtual machines, containers, container orchestrators (Docker Data Center, kubernetes, Open Shift, Cloud Foundry), ‘cloud native’ application design patterns, use of AWS, Azure, Salesforce or ServiceNow services in rapidly building applications, understanding of ensuring security for cloud applications
  • Familiarity with serverless application design patterns
  • Understanding of the appropriate process alignment patterns between agile development processes and ‘DevOps’ infused ITIL processes
  • Experience in building Managed Cloud Application Migration Services, with service descriptions, SLAs, labor estimates and tool estimates
  • Experience in planning and executing cloud application migrations for federal customers
  • Strong experience in selling and delivering applications using modern techniques such as agile, scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development to iteratively deliver application releases to production or pre-production environments while improving quality of application releases
  • Experience in using automation to streamline all processes in the application development, testing, configuration management, unit testing, regression testing, application security scanning, load and performance testing in overall CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep understanding of DevOps concepts, including the technology, process and organizational impacts and best practices of more comprehensive process integration of development, engineering, security, configuration management, release management and IT Operational teams
  • PMP certification.

While a clearance is not required to start, it is expected that applicant selected will be able to pass a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.  US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.
