Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in the Elkridge, MD area to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and should have experience and skills in the following related technologies: Fixed, mobile and networked computing platforms that store, carry, transfer, and affect identity information and their associated databases. The ideal candidate will have knowledge concerning personal computers and personal electronic devices in relation to the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Experience in assessing the security flaws of information systems and devices is highly desired. Knowledge of or experience working with the following technologies is also desired: of Global Positioning System (GPS), telematics (connected vehicles), cyber security and cyber analytics, social media, big data analytics, hardware and software analytics, radio frequency identification (RFID), and biometric technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide analysis of secure communications and networks, enterprise architectures, software and hardware, mobile apps and how they are managed from an internal security perspective
• Conduct self-directed technology research and generate presentations and technical reports
• Develop written reports or white papers based on customer requests for information (RFIs)
• Modify and enhance training materials for Cyber Security courses as required
• Assist in the facilitation of training courses inside/outside the DC-MD-VA area as requested and agreed to by customer
• Attend technology conferences/meetings, and prepare resultant conference reports and after-action summaries
• Provide insight into the Cyber Security industry

Requirements

Qualification Criteria/Skills:

  • Knowledge and skills for fixed, mobile and networked computing platforms that store, carry, transfer, and affect identity information and their associated databases.
  • Knowledge concerning personal computers and personal electronic devices in relation to the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Working knowledge/understanding of global positioning satellites (GPS), telematics (connected vehicles), digital forensics, cyber security and cyber analytics, social media, big data analytics, hardware and software analytics, radio frequency identification (RFID), and biometric technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.

Position Requirements:

  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • Education/Experience:  Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years of experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
