Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented Database Architect to join our team in Augusta, GA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. 
The Database Architect is able to clearly identify goals for data management. Can effectively translate user needs to database design. Has experience in creating database management processes and detailed documentation.
Plans, conducts and coordinates the development of complex and/or diverse computer programs, associated documentation, block diagrams, logic flow charts and coding.  Provides technical advice or consultation on difficult programming applications to other staff members.  Participates in developing programming and documentation standards as needed.  May prepare cost analyses and justifications for programming projects.  Coordinates with computer operations staff to resolve program malfunctions encountered in operational runs.  Corrects program errors by reviewing instructions or altering sequence of operations.  Defines test schedules and test data requirements to verify logic of new or modified programs.  Analyzes and improves existing programs. 
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field.  General knowledge of other related disciplines.  Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.  Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practical, and consistent with organization objectives.  Works under only general direction.  Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.  Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.  Contributions to the completion of specific programs and projects.  Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.   Frequent internal and external customer contacts.  Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.  May provide work leadership to lower level employees.  Excludes those with full supervisory responsibilities.


Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience required
