Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. 

Duties:
• Develop and maintain automated systems used for development, testing, and deployment of various software components within an SDLC while adhering to current DevOps principals and methodologies, and providing support for a fast-paced software development team
• Design, develop and implement solutions that support business functionality as well as the underlying infrastructure required to run and deploy those solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 8 years’ experience or equivalent blend of education and experience
• Technical skills and experienced with planning, design, development, implementation and support of continuous integration, delivery, release and configuration management capabilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, and be adaptive to the changing needs of the department and the organization
• Experience with building and maintaining highly effective relationships with team members and multiple stakeholders across multiple projects
• Strong practical Windows and Linux based systems administration skills
• Experience with the CICM CORE Products: Jenkins, SonarQube (MySql), Nexus Community, Nexus Pro, Apache Subversion, SCM Manager, Git, CloudBees Enterprise (HAProxy, Jenkins Operations Center)
• Experience with management of continuous integration servers and source code repositories
• Experience automating deployment of Windows/Linux applications, system configurations and security settings
• Experience with automation/configuration management
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Working experience with scripting, programming, markup, and style sheet languages including, JavaScript (frameworks and libraries), SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), Python, C#, Java, HTML, CSS
• Experience with distributed service standards (SOAP, REST, EJB)
• Working knowledge of IP networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Ability to self-manage assigned tasks and projects
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
