Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Writer to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. Writer will research federal and commercial accounts for past performance experience to best support RFP requirements of assigned tasks. Writer will create decision matrix to help proposal team determine best fit against the RFP requirements for similar size, scope, and complexity. Writer will use existing database of content to develop past performance writeups and interview account POCs for additional details to tailor the writeup.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Receive and administratively track new past performance request assignments using SharePoint.
• Serve as lead writer for past performance and/or corporate experience volume(s) of assigned proposals.
• Review and interpret RFP to determine past performance/corporate requirements.
• Communicate with Subject Matter Experts to solicit information to improve past performance writeups.
• Manage time proactively to plan for unforeseen short term assignments.
• Demonstrate excellent professionalism and customer service skills.
• Research and gather relevant information for use in corporate experience section to address customer hot buttons, and incorporating win themes
• May manage and write multiple past performance volumes for several proposals in the same timeframe
• Creates a positive work environment, demonstrates a professional attitude, and meets established goalsand responsibilities while working in cooperation with colleagues


Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field

• A minimum of 5 years proven successful experience writing and coordinating Federal Government proposals of moderate to high complexity

•Experience in managing mulitple writing assignments.

• Experience working with proposal teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting critical business development activities

• Strong analytical, organizational, and managerial skills

• Able to balance multiple projects and work to meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work on multiple projects and under tight deadlines

• Ability to work with teams and individuals of varying working styles

• Ability to work overtime often with no advance notice

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint
