Position Summary / Responsibilities:


We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Solutions Architect/Story Teller to join our team in Reston, VA, to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

In this role you will be:
Responsible for leading proposal development for federal contract opportunities, articulating Unisys’ differentiating value propositions in Unisys’ proposals for enabling respective federal agency’s business mission success, achieving IT service objectives, and solving difficult and pressing problems for government customers. Assumes a proactive and direct role for supporting business captures and directly writing/updating proposals to ensure business growth in federal market for Unisys.

Duties and Responsibilities


As a key federal contract proposal lead, this position works with the capture management team, sales team, client and program management leaderships, technical solution resources, and teaming partners to perform the following tasks:

  • Develop and formulate win strategies and win themes
  • Integrate solutions and capture strategies to develop cohesive, compelling, and consistent messages across all proposal components. 
  • Interview solution resources and guide the solution team to develop and articulate solutions consistent with the win strategies and win themes in our proposals.
  • Act as the proposal lead to author, review, and/or update proposal drafts and author the final proposal documents. 
  • Ensures that proposal artifacts and deliverables are developed to the highest quality standards
  • Identifies opportunities for asset reuse that reduces overall solution cost and development time. 
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university an a minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in either one, or both of the following areas: 
    • Leading/supporting capture management, business development, or marketing, with direct experience in writing proposals for large ($50+M) federal contract opportunities. 
    • Managing federal contract programs ($10+M/year) as the program manager, deputy program manager, chief technology officer, or IT service management lead.
  • Strong writing skills. 
  • Proven success in program management, meeting customer expectations, service performance objectives, and financial targets. 
  • Demonstrated strong customer communication skills. 
  • Proven success in capture management with a consistent win record. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering proposals consistently evaluated by government with “blue” or “exceptional”/”outstanding” ratings. 
  • Strong intellectual curiosity in exploring and learning new technologies, technology trends, forthcoming industry standards, new products, and the latest solution development techniques.
  • Proven ability to leverage this knowledge to formulate win strategies. 
  • Ability to leverage current industry, technical knowledge, and entire enterprise IT infrastructure knowledge to support pre-sales activities. 
  • ITIL certified and direct working experience in IT Service Management. 
  • Knowledge of cloud, IT infrastructure management, SDLC/SELC, DevOps, Agile, security, mobility, analytics.
