Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Stealth / IT Security Lead to join our team in Reston, Virginia to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Implements network and security infrastructure best practices within the IT operations infrastructure
  • Collects client infrastructure topology data. Develops and refines infrastructure design models using Unisys standard asset discovery and infrastructure modeling tools
  • Provisions, as well as supervises installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Installation of new systems, rebuilding existing systems, configuration of hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with customer/ government standards
  • Guides client activities as a trusted advisor towards the successful adoption of Stealth product adoption including focus groups to discover existing Client network addressing , diagrams, toolset recommendations, and physical/logical architectures
  • Assists the client in configuring and testing the deployed infrastructure to achieve client sign-off
  • Maintains, monitors and troubleshoots within the roles of Incident Management (Return-to-Service) and/or Problem Management (Reason for Outage) Proficiency in security technologies to include Stealth, BlueCoat ProxySG, BlueCoat CAS, Palo Alto Networks,Cisco ASA, and other simular technology
  • Proficiency in operating systems including Windows workstation and server operating systems, RHES, CentOS and Ubuntu Linux
  • Proficiency with PowerShell or Phyton scripting language
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts including IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6), arp, ICMP, TCP, UDP.
  • Proficiency in defending attacks utilizing security technologies, including web application firewalls, anti-DDoS technologies, advanced anti-malware solutions and network forensics and visibility solutions
  • Knowledge of industry standards including ISO 27000 series, NIST 800-53 (ICD 503) and other industry related security standards Knowledge of Federal policies and regulations for Information System Security (eg. NIST 800-53, FISMA, CDM, ICS directives) Information Systems architecture and security control design and development experience

Knowledge and understanding of Federal certifications, accreditations, and onsite processes



  • US Citizenship with a DoD Secret clearance.
  • 10 years of experience in IT Security
  • Network troubleshooting skills – TCP dumps, Network Debug Tools, etc…
  • Excellent documentation skills are required
  • Advanced technical writing skills are required
  • Knowledgeable in cryptography; Symmetric versus Asymmetric Keys, AES, PKI, Hash Functions, Digital Certificates
  • Knowledgeable in network security procedures, best practices, and implementation include internet and VPN or remote access architectures
  • Experience participating in technical presentations to a variety of clients, and designing and integrating client solutions involving multiple systems across an entire unit or organization
  • Highly knowledgeable on security and network tools including: network monitors, firewalls, VPN’s
  • Able to analyze the technical and business requirements for a specific information systems technology, and design and implement the infrastructure required
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues and customer applications as required
  • Trouble shooting network configurations and operating systems through new solution integration (Windows Server, Linux, Unix) integration, physical network topologies and networking protocols (e.g. BGP, MPLS, TCP/IP, IPSec, VLANs, VPNs, etc.)
  • Deploy, support, and troubleshoot implementation of Unisys Stealth Security

Education / Security Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
