In this role you will have the following duties:

  • Can include network management, software development and database administration.
  • IT specialists may also provide technical support and train non-technical workers on the information systems.
  • Information technology specialists may design systems and assess the effectiveness of technology resources already in use or new systems that are being implemented.
  • Additionally, they will determine the practicality of changes and modification of systems. 
  • IT specialists will also work with external partners, including consultants, agencies and vendors, to arrive at the most appropriate system or integration of multiple systems. With information technology constantly changing, specialists must stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the potential effectiveness of these advancements in their current system.
Requirements

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Applicant must be familiar with Unisys ClearPath system software.
  • Applicant should possess the necessary technical and communications skills to work with our Montgomery team in order to meet our commitments to the customer.
  • Candidates for this position must undergo a favorable adjudicated Single Scope Backgroun investigation (SSBI) as a minimum investigation. 
  • The SSBI will be maintained current with 5-years and requests for Special Backgournd Periodic Review (SBPR) will be initiated 6-months prior to the 5-year anniverrsary date of the previous SSBI or SBPR.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification is required within the first six months after hire.

Position Requirements:

  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Unisys, Microsoft, Linux, etc), as well as various programming languages and tools
    • Database Administration
    • Software Development
    • System Administration
    • Web-enabled Applications
    • Legacy application modernization
  • Education: Must have a minimum of a B.A., B.S., in an IT related field. Experience: Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience within the IT vertical or equivalent blend of education and experience
  • IA Certification Security Plus or equivalent 
  • US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance
